15 successful freelancers were recognized at the National Freelancer Conference

Asia's largest freelancer conference was held at the Naboratri Hall of International Convention City, Bashundhara-ICCB in the capital with the participation of 3000 freelancers from different parts of the country. In this 12-hour conference, 5 panel discussions were held on graphic design, web development, digital marketing, SEO. There was also a technical workshop. Prothom Alo's digital transformation and youth program chief coordinator Munir Hasan and Google's Bangladesh and Sri Lanka region industry lead Golam Kibria encouraged the youth at the conference.

The best 15 freelancers from all over the country were awarded in the conference. A third of them were female freelancers. There was Anik Mahmud, a remittance warrior, who has been working for buyers from different countries sitting in a wheelchair. Sabiha Arefin, Sheikh Khadija Khanam, Bibi Shawda, Priyanka Gain and Marzia Akhter have also been honored. The rest of the honorees are Md. Mahfuzul Rahman, Md. Mamunur Rashid, Shakeel Ahmed, Md., Rezaul Islam, AR Shravan, Swaibul Islam, Mahmudul Hasan, Farzuk Ahmed and Fahim Ul Karim.

Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar awarded these successful national level freelancers in the afternoon. While speaking as the chief guest, he said that Bangladesh is now exporting high-speed internet, which is the demand of the youth. Still there will be no shortage of internet in the country till 2030. Meanwhile, the minister advised the students to give importance to the acquisition of soft skills and communication and English skills in addition to education to pass the examinations alone.

He said, the boys and girls of the new generation are the soldiers of building smart Bangladesh. Institutional education tailored to industry needs is essential to make them skilled human resources. To this end, there is no alternative to introducing institutional education suitable for current careers in a joint initiative between academia and industry. And to increase knowledge and skills, the Internet should be used.

The event was attended by Syed Abdullah Zayed, CEO of Next Venture, Faisal Mostafa, CEO of Visor X Limited, Instructor Founder CEO Rifat M Haque, Codeman BD CEO Minhajul Asif and Fiverr’s top rated freelancer Kamruzzaman Shishir.
